RC training session on Tuesday and Thursday evenings

We will have RC training sessions every Tuesday and Thursday of the summer from 6:30pm to sunset.

Archie will host the Tuesday session, while Mike will host the Thursday’s.

Everybody is welcome, either you are ooking at a first RC flying experience, a training or getting the rust out of your thumbs!

Annual Field Opener!! JUNE 6 – Members ONLY

Hello members,

LAM Field Opener is this coming Saturday June 6th. The event will start at 10:00 running until 4:00pm.

BBQ and beverages will be free for members. (hot dogs and burgers)

Combat flyers, get your planes ready for the first combat of the season.

There will be a 50/50 draw.

Since this is a club members event, it’s not advertised to the public, but club members spouses/partners and family are welcome to come.

Any general public visitors that show up will be allowed viewing as they normally would but concessions won’t be open to the general public.

Field open for business on Saturday!!

Hello club members,

The field and parking lot have dried enough for regular vehicle access. However, when you’re driving into the parking lot, please stay as close to the fire pit away from the tree line on your left as possible. Try not to go past the midpoint between the fire pit and the trees because it’s still quite wet by the tree line. We want to be careful not to create ruts. So please use your best judgment. You have a greenlight to go flying at the field as of Saturday morning.

Outdoor field still wet – stay off or extreme caution

Hello everyone,

We know everyone is itching to get out and fly, but Marco just went to inspect the field and it’s still wet to the point that if you step on it you’re sinking in and water is pushing up.

So given that we would prefer if you could stay off of the field.

If you’re really DYING to get a flight in this weekend, you’re going to need to park on the highway and walk in. Please under no circumstances drive your vehicle in. The ground is very soft and it will get torn up. Please use extreme caution. No one wants to have to repair damage to the field, parking lot or drive in.

Unfortunately, we’re expecting probably 50 mm of rain this weekend so that’s not going to help the situation. But we will actively be checking the field every couple days and as soon as it’s dry enough, we will give everyone the greenlight.

FIELD STATUS UPDATE

Hello club members,

Just a remember the outdoor field is still inundated with water so please do not under any circumstances try to drive your vehicle in there. At this point, the directorship is asking you to refrain from even going in. We will be checking it regularly and let you know when it’s safe to walk in at least. But until then, please let it dry so we don’t create a bunch of damage on the road and parking lot and field that needs to be fixed. Thank you

It’s time to renew your Club Membership!!

It’s the last 48 hours for you to renew your club membership before incurring an extra $25 for the yearly membership. So please submit it before March 31 passes or you’ll be subject to that additional cost.
