Lakehead Aeromodellers, Thunder Bay Model Airplane Remote Control Club, is committed to promoting and encouraging the pursuit of model aviation in Thunder Bay and District.
All types of aviation related modeling, be it fixed wing airplanes, helicopters, Drones, or FPV, are readily accepted by the Lakehead Aeromodellers Club, at our MAAC sanctioned flying venues, be they indoor or outdoor.
Lakehead Aeromodellers provides guidance and training to prospective and current members. The Club holds monthly meetings from September to May and hands on flight training at the field from May to September (training sessions depend on instructor availabilities).
During the winter months, indoor, rubber and electric powered aircraft are flown on Sunday’s at St. Pat’s High School.
If you are interested in RC flying, you are encouraged to come to a meeting, to a Club event or just come at our field whenever the gate is opened to get more information or even try one of our trainer planes (flow in dual with one of our instructors).
